Symphony Learning provides supplemental math interventions. The Symphony Math software program helps students develop a solid foundation in number conceptualization and math operations. Symphony Math systematically helps students improve math concepts, fluency, procedures and applications.
Symphony Math is designed to help students develop a strong mathematical foundation in terms of concepts and applications. The program provides an opportunity for young students to develop and practice important mathematical ideas such as:
- number conceptualization
- one-to-one correspondence
- part-to-whole relations
Symphony Math extends these important ideas to math operations such as addition, subtraction, multiplication and division, fractions, and understanding of place value.
Symphony Math is intended primarily for kindergarten through third grade students. The program can also be used with older students who struggle with math because they have yet to develop a solid conceptual foundation in mathematical reasoning. Symphony Math is based upon research in the fields of Cognitive Development and Mathematics Education.
